Hampshire 1st Team v RAF
Our second Hampshire v RAF fixture was played on 25th August 2023, after the success of the inaugural match in 2022.
It gives Sam and her RAF girls some useful practice, before their inter-Services event, and it is perfect for introducing Hampshire Girls to our team golf and for spotting potential.
Certainly, young Connie Lai (Rowlands Castle) is one to watch, playing off 12 at the age of 12.
It was also super to have Rachel McAlpine (Test Valley) making her Hampshire debut, against her former RAF colleagues.
All games were played in great spirit, with lots of laughter and friendly banter. Hampshire emerged as victors by 4 matches to 3 but each match was keenly contested and close.
A huge 'thank you' to Tylney Park GC for hosting this fixture, welcoming us so warmly as well as presenting a golf course in fantastic condition.
We are very much looking forward to doing it all again, next year!
