Sunshine greeted the team from Jersey who came on Tuesday 15th April to play against Hampshire Second Team in the first friendly of 2025 at Paultons Golf Centre. The plan was that if it started raining then the teams would leap frog over to Peppa Pig World for some fun and thrills, however it stayed dry and the fun, friendship and thrills were on the golf course as the pairings did battle in a 4BBB match. 

Leading from the front  for Hampshire was Tammy Rowe from Corhampton and late stand in Clare Wells from North Hants, their match was a close run affair with the Hampshire women winning 2 and 1. Next out was the pairing from Stoneham - Tia Brammer and Becky Scott who both dovetailed well to win 4 and 3. IOW Islander Lucy Burke from Newport and Alex Sutherland from Meon Valley found their stride spurred on by the squeals and screams from the roller coasters at Paultons Park, winning 3 and 2.  And finally two Sarahs  one from Basingstoke (Deacon) and one from Boundary Lakes (Filer) tried their very best but were outplayed losing 4 and 3.

It is always lovely to welcome the Jersey team to the mainland and it is also great that they then participate in the HLG Foursomes Championships the next day.
