First Team Warm up - Hampshire v Oxfordshire 24/3/2024

Blue skies greeted both the Hampshire and Oxfordshire players as they met at North Hants Golf Club for the initial First Team warm up fixture of the 2024 season.

Once everyone had negotiated past the Fleet Half-marathon runners, an event which closed many local roads, the matches commenced. All games were closely fought and there was nothing in it at the half way stage. However, the Hampshire girls must like the back nine as one by one they all took control. The end result finished as 5 games to nil in Hampshire’s favour.

It was a pleasure to welcome Caroline and her Oxfordshire team to North Hants Golf Club. They provided stiff opposition and more important match practice for Hampshire with a view to County Match Week in July. Thank you to Lawrence and all involved at the club who always welcome us warmly and assist with the smooth running of our visits.

Very well done to the team of Raffi Dyer, Gemma Burgess, Stevie Crozier-Hunt, Aimee Paterson, Amelia Williams, Georgina Carter and Izzy Lawson who represented Hampshire in an exemplary way. Well played girls!
