The Vets team played their first match of 2023 at Hennerton Golf Club Berkshire on Thursday 25th May and I am delighted to say that the team manged to halve the match 3.5 -3.5 on a very short and quirky course.
The Course was 4006 yards from the Red Tees, Par 66 with 8 Par 3's many downhill. The weather was lovely and the course in good condition, with stunning views on the back 9 holes. We were extremely well looked after with Danish Pastries, Fresh Fruit and coffee on arrival and a meal following the match. The team camaraderie was excellent and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
I would like to thank the ladies who drove and brought along team mates, it was a long drive for some. I also want to thank those ladies who stepped in at the last minute so that we could field a team on the day.
Our next match is at Lee on the Solent on Monday 10th July.
