Our Penultimate match of the year was played at Meon Valley Golf Club on Tuesday 22nd August. The weather was very hot and sunny with only a gentle breeze and as the afternoon wore on it became quite humid. The rough was "lush" and the course was playing long, maybe the first signs of Autumn beginning to appear. All the matches were played in good spirit despite some big wins for both sides.
The Final Result was a win for Hampshire 4.5 - 2.5. After a nice meal, with lots of chatter, the Somerset Ladies, some who had travelled the day before set off on their long drive home.
Well done Team on a great Home Win. Our last match is at Freshwater on the 4th September, so fingers crossed for some dry weather.
