HLG Hull Shield at Romsey GC

Romsey Golf Club hosted the Hull Shield on Tuesday 26th August. Some 31 clubs from the length and breadth of the county sent teams to represent them in an Aggregate Medal. The course conditions were challenging, the fairways being very hard and dry after weeks of no rain. The greens were in immaculate condition and the course provided a stern test.

However several groups produced some very good scores and some individuals had remarkable personal scores. Romsey were excellent host. A team of members, lead by their President Geraldine, acted as starters and spotters, the catering team provided a delicious buffet lunch and generally everyone at the club did all they could in support of the event.
