Junior Projection Squad

Our Projection programme is for girls aged 12-18 with 25.0 handicap index or below (as at 1st Jan each year). To join the programme, girls must also have participated in Hampshire Junior competitions or taken part previously in Hampshire training.

In 2026 the programme will include:

• 4 group coaching sessions (April, May, June & July ) 
  Our topics will cover putting, short game, wedge play, ball flight control and tactical game. Selected sessions will include 18 holes of golf – where scores will be recorded on the EG app for handicap purposes and count towards an Order of Merit during the year.  Please note: Times for the sessions are still being confirmed and Start/Finish times may be adjusted due to anticipated weather conditions.

• Competitions
  As part of the programme, Projection girls would be expected to participate in our 3 main competitions: Spring Meeting, Junior Championship and Autumn Meeting. 
• Matches
  Girls from this squad may be asked for their availability to represent Hampshire in Junior friendly matches including our annual triangular scratch match vs. Kent and Sussex which will take place at Piltdown Golf Club, Sussex on Wednesday 8th April (tee times to be confirmed). We are also working to arrange a number of other friendly matches during the season. Details will be communicated to squad members once finalised.

• Order of Merit
  A handicap order of merit will be run during the year. At the end of the year, the handicap winner will be awarded prizes at the end of season prize giving. Projection girls will also be entered into the scratch Order of Merit. Full details of the order of merit will be available at the beginning of February.
