Over the weekend (9-10 September) England Golf, based at Woodhall Spa held their Champion of Champions annual competitions.
Representing Hampshire in the Senior Women’s Champion of Champions competition was Diane Oram (Basingstoke) who finished in a very credible 5th place.
Our County Champion, Raffi Dyer (Hayling) was tied after the first 18 holes on +1 with Dorset’s Champion, Melissa McMahon. With the 2nd round having to be cancelled due to lightning, it meant that a play-off was necessary. The 1st play-off hole was halved in pars and Raffi made a great birdie on the 2nd hole to win and become the Women’s County Champion of Champions winner 2023. A great achievement.
Huge congratulations to both Diane and Raffi on your excellent golf and for representing Hampshire so well.
Congratulations also to Bramshott Hill who won the first of our final’s days last Monday, to win the Knight Cup.
Next Monday 18 September, the Stoneham Cup final will take place at Barton on Sea GC.
We then finish the knockout competitions with the North Hants Trophy final at Army GC on Sunday 8 October
