Hampshire Second Team v Jersey Ladies, Sunday 10th April 2022

After three years in the planning and a couple of covid related cancellations, it was a delight to welcome Juanita and her Jersey Ladies to Basingstoke GC to play against the Hampshire Second Team.

We were blessed with a sunny afternoon to stage this new fixture and a light breeze made playing conditions perfect.

Four players were making their debut for Hampshire Seconds, so a warm welcome to the squad to Catherine Anderson, Izzy Lawson, Tilly Lawson and Jenny Myers. Together with the experienced Tammy Andrews, Georgina Carter, Hannah Dymott and Sarah Deacon (a late substitute) it made a strong line up on paper and so it proved on the course.

Playing four ball better ball, Hampshire won by 3 matches to 1 with all games being closely contested and played in great spirit.

Thank you to Basingstoke GC for allowing us to play this match and for looking after us so well. Also, to Jill England and Jane Scott for their support and encouragement.

We hope that this will become an annual fixture although whether a trip to Jersey is on the cards for 2023 is uncertain!

Junior Spring Meeting 2025

Sunday 27th April 2025

The Hampshire Junior Girls Spring Meeting took place on Sunday, 27th April 2025, at the picturesque Petersfield Golf Club. Blessed with beautiful, sunny weather, the event welcomed junior girls from across the county for an 18-hole Stableford competition played from the red tees. The day was filled with enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and impressive displays of young golfing talent.
